About

Silka Schwietzer ist eine deutsche Künstlerin, geboren 1965 in der ehemaligen DDR. Sie verließ die DDR 1983 und zog 1986 nach Südfrankreich, wo sie bis heute lebt und künstlerisch arbeitet.

Sie hat immer von Farben und Licht geträumt, die es in der Realität noch nicht gab, und alle ihre Arbeiten stellen sich der Herausforderung, diese auf die Leinwand zu übertragen. Um sie zum Leben zu erwecken, müssen sie Form und Substanz erhalten. Schwietzer arbeitet spontan und intuitiv. Während der Arbeit stellt sich dann ein Moment der Ruhe ein und beobachtet die Entwicklung. Ihr anfänglicher Teil der Arbeit ist abgeschlossen, und das Gemälde vervollständigt sich fast von selbst, angetrieben von dieser Energie. Diese von ihrer Hand geschaffenen Formen und Farben verweben ineinander. Es kommt zu chemischen Reaktionen und neue Elemente entstehen. Daher ist jedes Gemälde völlig einzigartig und hat seine eigene Seele.

Die heutigen Bilder sind inspiriert von ihren Reisen, Licht, Musik, Natur, Beobachtungen, Emotionen und Begegnungen.
